Using premiere pro:
- Folders = bins
- V1/2/3 etc. = video
- A1/2/3 etc. = audio
- Rushes is where they rush the footage off to put it together, then is sent back to the director and producer etc. to see if it looks good
- Click on the icon instead of the name or blank space next to it
- Logging - an old expression where someone would have a log book and go through all the footage and make notes on the good bits and where to put it - online you go through the footage, find stuff we like and put it together
- To make a new bin, click on the empty space in the box so there is a blue box surrounding it, click on the new bin icon called “log bin”
- Press “i” for in
- Cut before movement, cut while things are still moving
- Put the next cut beneath the video
- + to zoom in, - to zoom out
- Razor tool - to split a clip in half, press “C” for cut and click once where you want it to cut, press “V” to turn back to arrow, and you can split the cuts up
